FIFA 18 THE REVIEW

FIFA 18 is upon us folks with its schedule release set for the 29th most of us gamers are excited. Having downloaded the demo I am now even more excited that its release is just seven days away.  The game has been very consistent for the past few years, however some may argue that it wasn't really bringing new experiences to the user/ player until the recent introduction of the journey single player and better visuals in FIFA 17 .

I am happy to say that FIFA18 has moved a step further and improved on most of the features which they had started off in FIFA 17. For ease of understanding the new  good dimensions  and bad dimensions  I will categorize them into two separate categories so as to get a better understanding of the insights the game has made with their new product.

WHATS NEW

 1) Better  CPU challenge

For those of you who played Fifa17 enough times and are actually good at it can attest that it was relatively easy to exploit the poor performance by the  CPU at times making you virtually unbeatable when playing against the CPU. Well am sorry to bust your bubble this wont be happening in Fifa 18. The new version of the game has better CPU thus scoring goals will actually be coming from effort. The new games defenders defend the angles well and take up good angles to stop runs

2) The Journey has developed

Alex hunters story continues on from Fifa 17 but this time it begins in Brazil in a Fifa street three aside game. The journey this time is built around the transfer of Hunter. The voice overs are great and really make you enjoy the journey.  You may still play as the entire team or as  hunter. There no other game with such a functionality in a single player experience.

 3) Match Presentations

Fifa 18 has perhaps one of the best presentations for the different football leagues. They give good statistics and give the game a TV like sort of broadcast. Allen Smith and Martin Tyler are still the games commentators and  give current day commentary.

4) Better ball and Player  Movement

Now you can be able to play your light and heavy touches yourself. Players can easily fall off in terms of collision just like in real life situations. Replays of goals and missed opportunities can be closer scrutinized with fantastic replays.

WHAT COULD BE BETTER?

1) Goal Celebrations

The lack of raw emotions in the players when they score goals could have been better. Instead FIFA 18 just has players running around which is not very reflective of real life emotions that players go through when they score goals. This could definitely be better as other games are providing better celebration on their products.

2) Looks could have been Improved

The players look good but I don't think they are as good as on other games. My expectation was they would have highly improved this aspect. Hair movement and size is also not very accurate as it is in real life situations

3) Manager movement

This is an aspect of the game I feel the FIFA franchise can continually improve but they seem to ignore. In todays football world managers move almost as fast as players. I expected to see managers being tempted by bigger salaries and ambition, or rather big clubs snatching really Good managers without care.

FINAL VERDICT

Despite the small improvements that fans or I would like to see on the game FIFA 18 is generally a better product than the last one. It is worth purchasing and guarantees one a good footballing experience or game with a friend. Definitely worth buying.

The official release is almost upon us and you can purchase your original copy of the game here at better pricing.
