KLOPP AND LIVERPOOL DUMPED OUT!

It was only last week I wrote about Liverpool and the problems they have, and before I could even get the chance to write about them again they get dumped out of the league cup in usual circumstances. Last nights game was the usual tactic every team now seems to use against Jurgen Klopps men.  Hold your defense line and positions very tightly, let them pass and we hit them on the counter as fast as possible.

Liverpool dominated the game even with seven changes to their starting line up, while Leicester made a further eight changes to theirs but still managed to put 2 goals past Liverpool in a familiar way. Most people tend to be of the notion that Liverpool are not excellent in both boxes, but I tend to differ completely. I honestly believe Liverpool's problem isn't as much in defense as it is in midfield.   Liverpool's midfield simply isn't dynamic enough  to cope with transitions of the game

“It feels strange, it feels wrong. We played offensive football, dominant football, possession football how it should be. We created moments. You cannot create in each situation a finishing situation, but we did it absolutely often enough. It could have been more often, of course, because with one better decision here or there then we would have had a few more.”

Jürgen Klopp said these words after the game, but good football is also about dealing or playing well without the ball. You can be as offensive as you want but if you cant play well without the ball you can never be a top team or rather win matches as often as you would like. Liverpool dominated the first half and Leicester only looked to threaten through crossing and in the second half they came close with solanke showing great movement. While the ox also should glimpses of his talent.

However is this enough? Top teams finish teams off and not huff and puff all game. As if Leicester sensed Liverpool's lack of a killer instinct they struck with two goals from Okazaki (deflected) and Islam Silimani,. done and dusted Liverpool were beaten.

"As long as you concede goals like this it makes life really difficult."

These were then the words uttered by the Liverpool manager at the end of his press conference. Then I ask myself but isn't it your job to make sure the team reduces the amount of times it concedes like this? Isn't it the reason why Liverpool football club pay you a lot of money? Why were you chasing a midfielder all summer when this problem existed even last season? I had so many questions lingering in my head at the end of that press conference. Whatever the case though something needs to change at Liverpool and change very fast or risk their season being over by the end of December.

That's all I have for you today let me know what you think, as for now let me grasp on to the hope that Jurgen Klopp will improve the misery of this once big club.
